That'll prove Sparrow wrong

If the Jays were hoping to prove to Josh Towers that they come to the ballpark prepared to win every day, they did a pretty poor job of it.

After some small-ball in the first and second (which included Rios getting thrown out stealing third with Glaus at the plate and Wells deserving to be thrown out but getting called safe when his slide knocked the ball away), the Jays rested on their laurels as Towers gave up one run (a solo homer) in 5 innings. Unfortunately he then came out in the 6th, gave up an almost-homer triple followed by a homer, and was taken out with one out and runners on second and third after a walk and a double. League let one run score, and the part of our bullpen we hadn't been using (with good cause!) gave up two more runs while our bats managed a whole lot of nothing.
