definitely has a future in writing if not in baseball.

Speaking of, Dirk put together a very nice season last year in the Pacific Coast League, which is a ridiculously hard league to pitch in. Excellent K rate (> 1 batter/inning) and limited the walks and HRs. I know he will be 28 this season, but it would not surprise me to see him sneak into the bullpen and become a mainstay a la Carlson if he gets the chance to do so.
