I'm not going to miss a perfect opportunity for a Traveling Wilburys reference. Whether it's watching Chiefs games with his son, betting J.P. Ricciardi's son $100 that the Bruins will lose, or now this, Shaun Marcum continues to be awesome.

Of course, congrats to Roberto Alomar, the newest level of excellence member. But they really should retire his old hotel room.

If Marcum gets a monkey that he can't take

to the USA, that decreases our odds of losing him to the Royals (or any other team) when his arbitration years are up many moons hence. Of course, doesn't he live in MO during the off-season? Having to find a monkey-sitter for half the year might be the deal-killer.
