Opening Day?
Tomorrow's game thread should be up early. Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch the game live due to work, but whatever happens will be news to me as I'm going to try to avoid all information until I get back to my hotel room and can watch. But stop by and chat for a bit on the game thread if you get the chance.
If you're reading this, you can see that the format and layout of the site have switched over to SB Nation's new and improved format. For more info, read the post directly below this one. I think the new format will be great for the site, but of course we welcome all feedback.
(update: whoo! Ryan Zimmerman just won it for the Nats in the bottom of the 9th with an oh-so-sweet HR to left center)
Finally, congratulations are in order. Our very own excellent writer Matt Gaul has been offered a job as the Red Sox beat writer for a Florida newspaper, the Florida-Boston Times. Matt will be on the road with the Sox throughout the season and will also be blogging the Sox at Over the Monster , the Sox SB Nation blog, but will also continue to blog the Jays here at Bluebird Banter. Congrats, Matt!!

Can't Wait.
I'm starting to get the jitters.
Doc needs to set the tone for us. He has for the past 3 years. I also believe we need to come out swinging hitting mistakes into the gap and showing what we can do.

Work Sucks
I'm in the same boat as you, hugo, in that I have to work in the afternoon and won't be able to watch the game live. I have the TiVo all set to go, however, and should be able to have it watched by 7-8PM or so. Still...what idiot decided to have an afternoon game on Monday to open the season?

it is pretty lame
something to look forward to when I get off work though. Especially since my day is going to consist of sitting in a dim room in the middle of nowhere, Tennessee and reviewing technical documents trying to find one that will break my case. maybe we should have a separate game thread for people who are watching the game after work, haha.
