Everything I think....
Mike Wilner's blog 'Miked up' Inexcusable says just about everything I think about the Jays at the moment, except he says he thought Stewart over Johnson was the right move at the time. I never thought it was and still think it was a decision made on money alone. And boy it it was foreshadowing every move made since. Anyway the link to the blog is http://blog.rogersbroadcasting.com/mikewilner/2008/04/26/inexcusable/
I didn't think Gibbons should be fired before but if he continues to refuse to use Mac as a defensive replacement he ought to be fired quick and then used as an example of how not to manage. I knew Eck wasn't a great defensive shortstop but until I got the chance to watch him I didn't realize how bad he is.
Also if JP isn't calling up Lind to save a few dollars in the future, he should be fired too. Course I don't know any other job where you can made a $8 million mistake (Thomas) and keep your job. Anyone else here able to light a match to $8 of your employers money and then keep your job?
I agree the season isn't over....but....when you need to win 4 in a row to get to .500 you....things ain't good.

The Jays can be
penny wise and pound foolish, and they have proven that this season. But Mac really needs to be out there late in games (or early in games on occasion when a groundballer is pitching) , particularly now that Rolen is back and so Scutaro is also on the bench. I’m a big fan of Wilner, by the way. He and Blair are my favourite Jays writers, though I’m now starting to like Cathal Kelly a lot as well. At least Lind is finally up…

I still don't think Lind is a money decision
because if it was he would have been in the starting lineup in AAA the last two days, and he wasn’t.

that is a little strange
and I didn’t think it was money either, until Blair said it was. He’s usually pretty reliable in terms of what the Jays’ brass are thinking
