Humor Me Before I Have to Go: Game Thread, Jays at BoSox

Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Red Sox, Aug 16, 2008 7:05 PM EDT

After being rained out yesterday, the series is down to a 2-gamer.  Roy Halladay and Paul Byrd (who seems to pitch well against the Jays) will face off.  Unfortunately, I likely won't be able to watch much of the game, as we're having guests over for a paella dinner.  Let's go Jays!

Lugo?

Yeah, an easy choice given his recent stats, even if he wasn’t hurt. I doubt we want him for the same reason even if they would trade him to us, but they may salary dump him next year.

Also the lefty hitter strike zone has extra space on the outside

although that may be an artifact of sidearming lefty specialists.

Notice how much gunk is on Cliff Lee's hat?

Is that rosin? Or does he not wash his hands ever?

Well I'll take the run

but all 3 outs were on the first pitch. To be fair, Wilk gave it a ride.

Doc still ahead 66-80 in pitches

Right on pace for a 100 pitch complete game.

Just like Detroit, but the run scored this time.

They say League is warming

but I doubt he’s actually coming in unless there’s serious trouble

We have an off day monday, right?

So even if BJ warms and doesn’t pitch we won’t have to go a game without him.

Was it recent?

Probably not. I usually skip the front page to go straight to the live scoreboard or the Jays team page.
