Heading To The Rogers Center

I'm heading over to the Roger's Center in a bit from my hotel, and I was wondering if you guys had any questions for any of the Jays I could ask before the game? I want to get this blog involved in my job as much as possible. Please, feel free to ask any questions, just none that will get me fired!

Also, don't feel like you have to rush just to get a question directed to one of the Jays. I will do this fairly often before games, as well as other things to get the blog involved.

question for eck

I’d like to know how he feels about his severely diminished role on the jays… what did he expect coming here, and does he regret his decision to come here?

Eckstein

“You know I’m not happy about seeing my playing time reduced, but it’s not always about me, it’s about the team. As long as the team keeps winning ball games, it doesn’t bother me as much sitting on the bench.”

for Litsch

How did he feel about the demotion and rapid re-promotion to the Jays. How does using the 4-seamer change his approach? How comfortable is he with the pitch, and how much of an added weapon is it to be able to throw 93 or 94?

Litsch

“I was sent down for a reason, and I tryed to work my best down there so I could get back up (in the majors) this season. Chances are I’ll be throwing more breaking balls and off-speed pitches, which my four seamer should set up. I’m not going to go into detail for obvious reasons. It’s going to be great to throw 93-94 mph and know that a 77 mph could do the trick to get the batter out.”

for Overbay

how does his hand/wrist feel? Assuming there’s no pain, does it feel as strong as it did before the break? Does he think his hitting for less power this season is related to the injury, or is it just a down year, power-wise, for him?

Overbay

“The hand/wrist is definitely starting to feel better. There’s still a bit of pain, but I can definitely play through it. It feels around where like what it was like before the break. According to my standards, which are always very high for myself and for the team, this is definitely a down year for me power-wise. Don’t expect it to happen again.”
