Yankees 5, Jays 1

Yuck.  David Purcey started off shaky and got way behind.  He seemed to be settling down a bit, but by the time that Derek Jeter hit an opposite-field HR, the Jays were in a hole from which they wouldn't recover.

The Jays were totally inept against Yankee starter Andy Pettette and then the bulpen.  Alex Rios provided the only run on an RBI single.

About the only positive was a great performance by the Jays bullpen in holding the Yankees to their 5 runs.

Tomorrow, thank God, Doc pitches.  Time to bounce back from this stinker.
