it seems like the Jays must like him at least a little bit

and that they’ll give him a shot at the 5th starter spot next season

oh yeah

I just got the recording. It’s just a live recording from the crowd, but doesn’t sound bad. I’ll have do a post with the lyrics and put it up.

not so much about the Jays

as about a couple on their way to a Jays game after work. But there are some good Toronto and Jays references

Richmond's slider looks tight

if he doesn’t work out as a starter, he throws strikes – I could see him being a good late-inning righty reliever

Lyle

draws the 3-2 walk with a quality at-bat

Rolen

was fishing on that 2-0 slider

why does it feel

like a virtual guarantee that we won’t score once we get the man to third with one out?

the starting pitchers

all seem pretty friendly to me. they all sit together at least, and often refer to conversations with each other in interviews

didn’t take the best route….

the usual 5 ip, 3 run start for Richmond

he actually pitched very well, got unlucky on that Papi opposite field HR

And of course

on the lack of run support.

"He almost has to start. Do you believe in miracles?"

That's the game....

Sox have at least a tie for the Wild Card….one more win for them or a loss by the Yankees and they are at least the wild card

No Jay of the Day....

Scoot gets the Hinske, Rios and Rolen come damn close. Richmond is close to the Towers but considering he hasn’t pitched since August it wasn’t a bad start. He did get unlucky on Ortiz’ home run and some support would have helped. So I’m not giving him it.
