More confirmation, if we hadn't already heard enough about that.

He's earned his chance with someone else. I just hope that if/when he makes the HoF, he enters with a Jays hat.

Don't you wish they would quit saying this....

ok he doesn’t want to sign with us, what’s the point of telling everyone that?

Yes, It is Getting Repetitive

However, I do not think that all fans have got the message yet. You see them at games with their “trade JP, not Halladay” posters etc. I think mgmt is just making sure that everyone gets the message loud and clear so that if, and / or when, they trade Halladay, folks are not angry because they understand that getting good value for Roy is the best option for the franchise.

Agreed

It’s more the organization’s way of trying to prepare the fans and help them make peace with it ahead of time.

Well, all I can say is that “we will miss you”. Because Roy is going one way or another. He will walk after 2010 when he gets a huge free agent deal or the Jays can trade him now for good value. As a fan who will follow the Jays with or without Halladay, I hope they opt to trade him for value. I will miss Roy, but will remain a Jays fan.

If you have season tickets in a good location that are hard to get, could you let the rest of us know? One of us BBBers might want to take them off your hands.

I’ll miss Halladay when he goes, and always wish him the best – except when he plays against the Jays. Even then, we can hand him a 1-0 loss and I won’t feel bad about it. Maybe, just maybe, we can put together something next year that will be enough to entice him to stay. I doubt it, but I remain forever hopeful.

My thoughts exactly.

Fan of the Jays first. Players second. Always will be.

Life as a Toronto Sports Fan?... *sigh*... It is what it is...
