PrintSox get John Lackey, so instead of getting the 29th draft pick, we would get the 59th or so for Scutaro, until they sign Holladay, then it's like 100th pick......tell me again why letting him go was a good thing?
Update: 5 years and $85 million. Someone has too much money.

Remember, the MLB draft is a crapshoot. For instance, our boy Adam Lind was drafted in the 3rd round.
Mike Piazza was taken in some ridiculously high number as a favour. One of the best hitting catchers ever was taken as a favour. Incredible

between rounds 1 and 2. the Jays have had some success with the mid-round picks
