Hall of Fame Poll: Don Mattingly

Early in his career we all thought Don Mattingly was a sure thing Hall of Famer, but back troubles slowed him as his career went on. He still played 14 seasons with the Yankees and hit .307/.358/.471 in 1785 games. 2153 hits, 222 homers and 1099 RBIs aren't bad totals at all. He won an MVP award, 9 Gold Gloves, 6 All-Star appearances, won a batting title in 1984 and led the league in RBI's the same year. His career batting line is here.

I'm going to post a few of these today, would like to get through all the players in the next couple of days.
