Im fine with that. The only way we get rid of Wells is to include some decent pieces for the team to take on his contract.

Im not exactly happy with the idea of trading usefull players just to get rid of Well’s contract and then have a replacement level player fill in his spot for us.

If he was blocking a prospect that would be one thing, but I don’t think he is at this point.

Wells isn’t a bad bounceback candidate, but with so much time and money left on his deal, it’s not even remotely worth the risk

And I like Wells. Just chuckled when I was reading the post at BCB and they consistenly had Wells at the bottom. I know it is his contract, but the Cubs should have money. Regardless, I don’t want Bradley near the Jays, so that’s that.

yea, if the Jays offered up Wells for $1 per year, I am sure there would be a lineup of MLB teams happy to take him. Anyhow, if Wells has another good season next year, likely the complaining will be a bit quieter. (ooooo, there is a revelation, LOL)
