First time in Toronto

Hey everyone.  Visitor from RoyalsReview here, where we take pride in our annual double-digit losing streaks.  I'm heading to Toronto with a few friends the first week of June to catch a couple Jays/Royals games (one night game, one day game) and had a few questions.

--Any recommendations on which seats to get?

--Best way to get to/from the stadium (we won't have a car)?

--Good bars/restaurants around the stadium?

Any other suggesting/tips would be helpful, as well as any general suggestions of things to do/eat/see while in Toronto.

Thanks,

Andy

Seats...

I always love sitting in between 1st or 3rd and home as close as possible…but anything in the 100 level really is pretty good. OF seats are good because you can heckle the pitchers in the bullpen!

To/From the stadium depends on where you are staying…but the subway drops you off at Union Station and from there you can walk it (about 10 minutes along the skywalk), so anywhere with access to the subway and you’ll be fine.

Bars/Restaurants:
Just south of the dome is a St Louis Wings it’s not bad…just north along front street there is Jack Astors, Texas Armadillo or Loose Moose all of which are pretty good…There’s a Hooters not to far away and lots of clubs/bars in the area for nightlife.

Restaurants

Texas Armadillo is a personal favorite. Great spot!

I always like the seats just above the bullpens.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get those seats, but they were moderately priced and you had the chance to catch a homer. Plus you can yell at the players. Ha!

A little bit of a misnomer, for you will find no solace here.

Personally I enjoy the 500’s. Same price everywhere in the upper deck and cheap. You can move pretty much move anywhere. Catch some rays for an afternoon game and a nice summer breeze for the evening game. Plus you can always sneak down to field level if you know what you’re doing.

If you’re coming from out of town you probably want nice seats and no hassle. The outfield bleachers are a nice midlevel price range and you can heckle the outfielders and bullpen like crazy as has been mentioned.
If you’re going to go for the nicer seats at field level make sure your in the infield because the seats on the baseline don’t point towards homeplate directly so you’ll have to turn your neck all game.
