This is a shot of New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2b Scott Campbell which was taken at the '08 Futures Game in NY.
I'll post more pics down the road.

I'd like to see him in a Jay's uniform in the next couple of seasons.

I would too
I really think if Hill recovers fully and has a productive season and Campbell keeps progressing and shores up his D a little, it will be extremely tempting (and cost-effective!) for the Jays to reconsider moving Hill to SS and installing Campbell in at second base – that would solve the SS problem and the leadoff hitter problem at no cost to the team.

I don't understand
why I see postings of his ‘D’ is weak.
I am not a scout by any means nor did I sleep at a Holiday Inn last night, but I do get to see at least 71 Fisher Cats games each year.
My view of Campbell from behind the wall is great and I have to say that I saw A LOT of great plays from Campbell last year. Diving towards the outfield ball to snag a blooper. Making bare-handed grabs & throws with accuracy. His vertical is darn good as he pulled down a few liners and Campbell makes all the routine plays. I for one think he can be an everyday player. He reminds me, and I told him this, of Wade Boggs at the plate. He’s great at going to the opposite field. He does have to work on hitting lefties. That is the one glaring weakness that I could see.
Anyway, Scott Campbell for President!!!

I really like Campbell
and I really haven’t seen him enough to comment with confidence on the quality of his defense. From what I’ve heard, it’s basically servicable but could use a little shoring up. He did do a really fine job of limiting errors. When I was learning to play second base (I switched from short, though nowhere near Campbell’s level of course), I thought the hardest thing was the double play pivot – how is Campbell on that?
If Campbell can provide even average defense at second base and his on-base skills translate to the majors, he will be a very valuable everyday player. The combination of his line-drive swing and his eye at the plate at second base would be a really nice collection of skills.

DP Pivot
You know, I can’t comment on that either way. I really don’t remember if he was lacking in that area or not. It certainly doesn’t stand out to me that he was awful, which is a good thing.
Scott was awesome to chat with all season long and I wish him the best. I’m sure he’ll start the season in Vegas, which means I won’t see him again until he’s up for his cup-O-coffee.
With Campbell moving on, it’s made me think…
The Fisher Cats could have an entirely new infield to start ’09.
c- Arencibia will be with Vegas (if not Toronto)
1b- Dopirak was a free agent. I’m not sure if he resigned w/ Toronto. If not, the position goes to Jacob Butler.
2b- Campbell to Vegas
ss- Klosterman taken by Florida in the Triple-A phase of the Rule 5 draft.
3b- Gutierrez played there a lot after Hatch was sent down, but I see him more of a 2b/ss.
and Hatch was taken by the Dodgers in the Triple-A phase as well.

Dopirak
was resigned so I’d expect him to be back with New Hampshire at first base. If he hits well, he’ll probably move up relatively quickly given his age (possibly to make room for David Cooper moving up to AA.

Campbell II
Here is a shot of Campbell, in Manchester, sporting the #2. He wore #6 all season, but he had an issue with his uniform, so he had to wear a bat boys jersey.

He looks like Grant Balfour with a bat.
