ARod Admits To and Apologizes For Using Steroids

According to an interview that will air on ESPN tonight Alex Rodriguez has admitted to using steroids while a member of the Texas Rangers. Really have to  applaud him for admitting to it instead of doing the usual denials. He is scum but he seems to be handling this in the best way he could. You have to wonder if all 104 names will be leaked one at a time like this?

I posted this on the AROD article below

NOW I feel for AROD…I’m not a fan of his at all I think he’s a douche bag (as mentioned already) but to publicly admit to using drugs take a lot of balls IMO. Especially after specifically denying it on more then one occassion.

It’s a bit of a cop out to stay it was because he felt pressure after signing the big contract but is a plausable excuse, especially when drug use was so wide-spread I’m he didn’t feel like he was doing anything wrong at the time.

Overall I wish more players (insert: Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire, Bonds, Palmeiro) would just admit to it rather then lying over and over and over again…AROD deserves some credit here, I just wonder if there will be any thing done to him…will his MVP be taken away?

I also think...

that the rest of the names should be released…if AROD is taking heat for this so should everyone else. I’d also like to know who else tested positive.

I respect A-Rod for owning up to it

I doubt he told the whole truth but I give him credit for the truth he did tell

why is it a surprize?

I too have seen this news all over the TV and internet, but honestly, isn’t steriod use and high performance athletes as common as certain rock stars and alcohol ?
