Funny
As a fan who watches Doc pitch every 5 days (knock on every piece of wood I own) I think its funny that the writer had to defend his claim that Halladay is the best. Its almost as if the readers would have had an outcry “WTF, WHO?” He’s not a decieving lefty like Santana and he doens’t have nasty stuff like Grienke, he is just the best pitcher in baseball. Period. End of debate. Move on.

That’s the thing. Most people will cry out and they all point to the fact that Santanas numbers are slightly better.
Which as the writer points out is a load of steaming something or other when you look at it in context.
'But I don't want to go among mad people' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can't help that' said the Cat 'we're all mad here'.
Not nasty?
Dude, did you see that 14K game against the Angels? I think it’s all a matter of will, he could do that shit every game if he wanted – he just chooses not too. (Insert your own Chuck Norris joke here)
Ok, I will
When you say “no one’s perfect”, Roy Halladay takes this as a personal insult
In the Words of Julius Caesar, “Veni, Vidi, Vici, Roy Halladay”. Translation: I came, I saw, and I was struckout by Roy Halladay
Roy Halladay was banned from competitive bullriding after a 2007 exhibition in San Antonio, when he rode the bull 1,346 miles from Texas to Toronto to pick up his dry cleaning
A man once asked Roy Halladay if his real name is “Leroy”. Roy Halladay did not respond, he simply stared at him until he exploded.

in fact, Roy is so powerful, that he was the only one unaffected by the Heidi Watney jinx the team has suffered since May 19. That was the day she first interviewed the team and got all their heads spinning with her siren interview song. Since then it has been batting slumps, pitching blowups and fielding errors leading to multi-game losing streaks or just near-500 performance. Yet, within that pandemonium, only one baseball-bot has continued to perform at peak levels – our man Doc, proving that only he is above the Watney jinx.

When Doc throws a rising fastball
it isn’t just an optical illusion.

Not a huge Jeter fan – but he’s seen every pitcher in the American League at this point – he would probably know what he’s talking about at the end.

Not to mention run support for Halladay was low last year and still got 20 wins..
he ’s the best pitcher right now, more consistent of all
Santana is great not not consistent this year
Good point about that interview.........
…………I mean, I could catch one Boston game during which I saw how delicious Heidi Watney looks but yes, for our club she has really been like a jinx!
Doc is Doc, far and above everything. No comparison should be made with anybody.
Not with Santana, not with last year’s Cliff Lee or any other. My vote will always be for Doc!
