Well, last night sucked, but let's hope tonight goes a bit better. Brett Cecil makes his return to the major league club, while the Nats send Ross Detwiler to the mound. There's nothing you can do about some losses, but hopefully we can bounce back tonight with a win and take the series tomorrow. Millar starts tonight for Overbay against the lefty and Raul Chavez spells Rod Barajas.

So you switch their defensive positions and then sub in Richmond for Millar on the mound.

Alright.
You can have players switch defensive positions in game. So basically it means that Ryan and Rios switched defensive positions. Then Inglett came in for Ryan in Left, and Camp came in for Rios on the mound.
Rios was one of the last to bat the previous half inning so all of sudden it is going to be 8 or 9 batters before the pitcher has to hit again going forward.

Man that's frustrating.
We literally beat the crap out of the ball in Philly against the world champs then absolutely forget anything we know about hitting against the worst team in baseball. Seriously, I like rollercoasters as much as the next guy, but this just is maddening to watch.

Ya, I stand corrected from my initial post.
I can’t believe that the Nats (THE FREAKING NATIONALS!) bullpen has held us essentially scoreless for 4.1 innings today and 5.1 yesteday. More than an entire game against the worst bullpen in the league and not a single run. Un-freaking-beleivable.
I feel sick to my stomach watching this crap sometimes.

My first post! How is everyone doing north of the border? Very frustrating that we dropped the first two against the Nats after sweeping the Phills. But don’t panic, tomorrow I will be at the game and the Jays have never lost when I’ve seen them play.

Alright… I’ve calmed down a bit from that debacle, so I feel I can calmly welcome you here.
I certainly hope you’re right about tomorrow – I think I’ve been quoted as saying that if we get swept by the Nationals I will swear off baseball this year. While I’m certain I’d be more productive without the 3 hours a day eaten up by Jays games, I honestly don’t mind since it’s the summer….
