Which Brian Tallet will show up today?

The first time this season Brian Tallet didn't give up any runs in a start was

Apr 24 @ CHW W 14-0

In his very next start, it was ugly.

Apr 29 @ KAN L 3-11

The second time this season Tallet didn't give up any runs in a start was

Jun 9 @ TEX W 9-0

In his very next start, it was ugly.

Jun 14 FLA L 3-11

The third time this season Tallet didn't give up any runs in a start was five days ago, with the bullpen making things interesting after he came out of the game.

Jun 23 CIN W 7-5

His very next start is scheduled for today.

Which Brian Tallet will show up today?  Will the pattern continue?  I don't want to lose 3-11 again.

just to add a little perspective

there have been almost 4 times as many good starts (11) as there have been bad starts (3). I’ve been skeptical of Tallet’s ability to keep it up, but the truth is that he’s been very good far more often than he’s been bad – though his bad outings have been so bad that his overall ERA is nothing to write home about.

i was going to say something similar

he’s been solid-to-great far more tham he’s been bad (though there seems to be no middle ground). hopefully we get the first one to pick up the series win…

if we lose

will it be the first time this season that we might hit 4th place in the AL EAST?

6IP, 4 ER is terrible?

come on now, that’s certainly a winnable game though he wasn’t fantastic…

Sadly, we have been 4th for two straight days now........

………Sunday’s game was winnable, just go read the excellent debate as to whether we had to play “small ball” with Hill at the plate in the 9th. I think we should have and the Jays might have won or at least sent the game into extra innings. Close games are a problem, it seems, in this period so why not surprise with some small ball at that point? PS: That 4th place is so awful, I can’t put it into words…….after leading by 3 1/2 in May!!!!!
