It's painful watching Wells
Low scoring baseball games sometimes are not the most exciting to watch. Even today after the Jays go down 2-1 to Cleveland, it was impressive to witness Cecil repeatedly get out of jams and go seven scoreless innings. As for someone and for the rest of the Jays fans who's just about seen enough of Vernon Wells perform to the lowest level this season, we were not left disappointed as Wells once again did what was expected, which was nothing. The only positive thing that transpired with each time Wells got out, was that the boos directed at him were getting louder.

I had a dream last night that the Jays trade Halladay to the Minnesota Twins. There was a surprise to the deal which would be announced later. Turned out they also took Wells and gave us Morneau back because they felt sorry for Canada. Then I woke up. Damn.

I wish that happened. Either that or Mauer, even though he’s not Canadian. I think if we do trade Halladay, we may have to trade Wells. I think the positive thing about all of this is that Wells is only making around 5 mil this season. So at least he’s not underperforming for his contract just yet. It’s next year where we’ll be screwed!
No one wants Wells? Really? Coulda fooled me . We don’t want Wells either. We want them to take Wells.

if we tossed in Wells to a deal
it basically means we won’t get anything back, since we’re dumping a very bad contract and a very good contract, probably would balance out. i think the prospects we’d get would be far more useful than just getting rid of a bad contract

There is a machiavellian side to this, if we wanted to go that path. You realize that, with the absence of guaranteed money to Wells, there would be more than enough to lock up Doc long term at the end of his contract. He likes it here, we like him here. Easy enough to force Wells on anyone who wants Halliday, grab a decent player in return (lets face it, Halliday is the best pitcher in baseball, and Wells isn’t HORRIBLE, he’s just underperforming). We agree with Doc – IN ADVANCE OF THE TRADE that once his current contract is up, we re-sign him and bring him back. We save money, which can then be invested someplace else, and bring Doc back as well. Overall, we rent Doc out to get rid of Wells. If we could convince them to take Rios as well, we’d be golden.

Tampering charges away!
'But I don't want to go among mad people' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can't help that' said the Cat 'we're all mad here'.
I got a solution!
What about if we offer Wells to any team in the majors for a bag of bats, two Nike gloves and a twenty kegs of Budweiser…I think this would be a fair deal and Wells wouldn’t feel undervalued….

I have another solution
Nevermind.

Yep, I'm still a fan. A frustrated fan, but a fan nonetheless.
Now this is 2 more comments than I thought I would make on your brilliant fanpost.

Sorry, but it's worse watching Delucci and Millar...
Even if he did get a walk and an run, Delucci is batting below the Mendoza line and sinking.
