And thrown out at the plate
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
maybe he was hoping millar would try to Pete Rose wieters
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
0 for 4 with RISP
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Lind was playing pretty far off the line there
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Overbay is a bottom 1/3 offensive 1B
and that’s this year, when he’s hardly had to face lefties at all.
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Not that we'll necessarily be able to do better
and I did have that combo on my 91 win/$95M roster.
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
At least not his salary
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Give Ruiz more playing time
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
where do the following play next April? (your best guess, MLB team or MiLB)
Millar?
McDonald?
Ruiz?
Scutaro?
UZR says he's been almost exactly average
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Off the foot of the wall?
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
to be fair
uzr stats have a lot of noise. isn’t 3 seasons worth of data recommended to make a definitive statement regarding defensive aptitude?
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
Of course a player can decline a lot within 3 years
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Wells' .211/.285/.338 line against lefties this year is really sad
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Mark Hendrickson
6 ip, 2 hr, 0 K, 2 bb . . . those should not equal two runs
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
Hmm, in the Jays lineup, we have only three hitters with averages over .240. I guess it’s hardly surprising we only have 4 hits against “Cy” Hendrickson.
And Wells' numbers against lefties are terrible
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
And he's all out of pizza
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
lol
yes, if he hit 280 and 25 taters … i would be very very happy
I would want him to have a career year defensively too
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
definitely has not been his year
I do think he has a reasonable chance of rebounding next season, though
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
LOL, the dakers situation
how do u pinch for McDonald?
this would be one of those scenarios where it would be extremely nice
to have a SS on the bench so we could pinch hit for mac
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
I would not have pinched for Ruiz
but his kind of Ruiz mgmt, makes me think fer sure he is going back to AAA in April
HAHA
Johnny Mac!

"not quite sure how it sounded to you but to us it was ugly"
“so let’s listen again!”
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
generally a bad idea to hit a batter
to cause a walk-off
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
Kinda like when Moises Alou broke his leg
…and they kept showing it over and over…that was gross

I think he knows that if he gets to three balls
he should be getting a meatball
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
TIs there a site that tracks how often teams strand the bases loaded?
We must lead the league.
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
also leading the league in stranding lead off doubles
of course i think the jays are near the top in doubles
i would have a glove that matches the predominant colour of my jersey
that would make it very hard for pitchers to see it
What if you were on the Rockies?
Would you use a purple glove?
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
Not so much that it's unmanly
I just think it would look ridiculous as the colour for a glove
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
and his pitching performance has only been ok … he has not really done anything to differentiate himself
He's cheaper and better (IMO) than Camp though
I suppose you have to throw Richmond in the mix now too, cause I can’t see him making the team as a starter.
League, Roneicke, Janssen
I mean look at the choice —
Camp is better for long relief vs. Accardo
League has dominating power and movement vs. Accardo
Roenicke has been better vs. Accardo
really, Janssen is the only guy Accardo might be able to beat … it is tough for him to crack the lineup and he has not been stellar when he is up …
Well, regarding Janssen
they will likely give him a good look in the Spring, shoulder surgery is tough to come back from and he relies heavily on his location
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
I remember him living off the splider
didn’t he?
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
has suffered a lot of injury since then
maybe still recovering?
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"

Why not bunt AFTER Vernon stole 2nd on a brand new catcher

What does rance mean that he doesn't understand why they let lind take second?
holding lind on at first would drastically reduce the 1st baseman’s range . . . particularly against a lefthanded batter
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
i think he means why catcher not throw to 2nd

if Aubrey was not holding on the runner?

Stranded them loaded again
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Though at least Mac made contact
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Jamie Campbell just suggested they squeeze with 2 outs
Is he ever going to get replaced?
Squeeze with the bases loaded?
The force is on at the plate.
They're not just hitting home runs. They're doing the little things, like hitting doubles.
Yes, thats my point.
Campbell knows nothing about baseball. Even without a force, it makes no sense.

I do recall Endy Chavez winning a game with a loaded bases bunt in the bottom of an extra-innings game
for the Mets a few years ago. But Mac is not as fast or as good of a bunter as Endy Chavez
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
24 April 2007
Was 2nd and 3rd (not loaded bases), but there were two out.
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
If it is a suicide squeeze
I don’t think that they’re getting the force at home, anyway
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
i m guessing he erroneously thought 1 out

Doesn't matter
With 2 outs, just throw to first, run doesn’t count. Simple baseball that is beyond our beloved TV man.

trying to buy Raptors tickets from Ticketmaster for a November game
but it only goes up until October. Anyone know if tickets only go on sale a little later, or if there’s another way to get ’em.
I’m not from Toronto, so I’ve never bought tickets for an NBA game before.
Is it a leaping grab
if you don’t jump until after you’ve caught it?
"Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!"
dang
Jose just bounced off the wall with the arm that he was just hit by pitch on
And the hundreds of fan in attendance go crazy!
