Richmond

Just my thoughts after seeing Scott Carson's article on the Jay's pitching options...

Whatever happened to Scott Richmond- he got injured during an (i think) fairly good season??

And when will Dustin McGowan be back after his 190247394th injury

Anyways who else do the blue jays have in their system to call up?

-just to fill words... hi bye guy die lie money funny scott dot hot blot got mot see you sometime

I’m pretty sure Richmond will be battling out for a long relief spot next year, although he’ll be hard pressed to make it in the rotation.

I really like Richmond, and I'd like to see what he can do out of the 'pen as a long man.

But I don’t think for a second that he should be taking a rotation spot from the plethora of young rotation options the jays have either. He doesn’t have nearly enough upside to be taking a chance away from Rzep or Stewart next year in my opinion.

I’m sure he’ll be involved in the competition for the 5th spot in the rotation, but he just isn’t good enough to make it. If he is to make it, it’ll be as a RP. Problem for him is, we’ve got some crazy depth of RHP at the moment.

I have a soft spot for Richmond, especially after watching him carve up the Phillies during a game in 2009. He’s been described as a poor man’s Halladay, so I hope he can come back.

I'll put my money on him being at the BP next year...

That’s because I have no money… ;-p

I’m a Richmond fan.

I’m predicting that he’ll make it into the back of the bullpen next season, but he’ll fight his way to a later innings role and that fans will be calling for him as our closer by the AS break!
