A picture is worth 1000 words
Not wanting to take attention away from Hugo's review of Dirk's book (read the review, order the book) but couldn't pass up posting this picture.
Jays announced starting pitchers for the first few spring games:
March 3: Ricky Romero. Dana Eveland and Josh Roenicke will also pitch.
March 4: Marc Rzepcyznski. Brett Cecil and Kyle Drabek will pitch too.
March 5: Brandon Morrow.
Brad Mills will start a 'B' game on the 5th.

How patient are the Jays likely to be with Drabek?
I’m admittedly not a close follower of the Jays overall but I really like the pitching talent they have in both the majors and minors. I have a few questions and if you folks could indulge me with some answers it would be greatly appreciated.
Marcum/Rzepczynski/Cecil/Morrow in some order for the rotation right? Who is the favorite in the 5 spot?(hopefully someone other than Brian Tallet from what I’ve gathered looking around, right?)
Is Zach Stewart working as a starter or a reliever this year? If he’s a starter will he or Drabek get a look later this year or are the Jays looking at saving service time and bringing them up next year after the Super 2 threshold?
Where is Chad Jenkins likely to start out and how quickly do you think he’ll move along?
Any answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance if anyone takes the time to reply.

You forgot Romero in the rotation
I’d say he’s guaranteed a spot. Cecil isn’t, though. Marcum is a lock if healthy, Zep is very likely to make the rotation too. McGowan has been throwing and has a shot at breaking camp with the team, but I think they’ll be as cautious as they can.
The Jays are still working Stewart as a starter. My guess is that he gets at least a cup of coffee this year. Drabek could too, but it depends on how he does.
Jenkins will start at A (Lansing) or high-A (Dunedin) depending on how he looks this spring. Early indications are good on that score. I can’t see him moving beyond AA this year, though.

Boy was that a major brain fart on Romero
I’m glad to hear McGowan is back and looking good, he had filthy stuff before his injury. If Cecil doesn’t make the rotation is he ticketed for the pen or AAA? Glad they’re working Stewart as a starter, I’m really big fan of his. Drabek too of course, the dip in peripherals stats in AA last year don’t concern me at all since it was his first year back from TJS. I’ve got Drabek at #21 and Stewart at #53 on my top 100 list, with Brett Wallace in the middle.
