Dustin McGowan threw two 20 pitch innings in a simulated game today…3.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 5K…reported no issues, felt strong
Sounds good.
And today’s starting 9
Blue Jays Lineup vs. Braves Bautista 5 Hill 4 Lind 7 Wells 8 Overbay 3 Ruiz DH Buck 2 Gonzxalez 6 Snider 9 Morrow starting
I’d throw in the direct links for the tweets but twitter doesn’t seem to be working right at the moment and I can’t get to them.
Life as a Toronto Sports Fan?... *sigh*... It is what it is...
How do they figure hits, runs etc in a simulated game?
That is good news though

Dunno, but it's a good problem to have
With the amount of pitching injuries the Jays have suffered in recent years, it’s a good thing we’re going to have so many starters in AAA that are ready to jump in. It would be nice though if this year was different and we could have more stability in the rotation. Can dare to dream…
I gotta say...
I’m really not a fan of having Tallet on the starting rotation to be honest. Maybe he’ll just be in the rotation until Mcgowan is good to go, I dunno. I’d be more comfortable with him as a reliever.
I think the idea is to flip guys like Tallet and Eveland and allow our prospects to get the AAA and AA development they need. I guess it is all about building assets. If you start all your prospects at the majors, then the assets will quickly diminish.
Can only flip Eveland if he is on the roster at the start of the season
they can’t send him down without him going through waivers, so if a team wanted him, they would just wait for him to hit waivers.
