It is rare that I would offer encouragement to a life long Yankees fan, but will make an exception for Mr. McDonald. Best wishes.

Agreed

Though I whole-heartedly support his quote regarding the BoSox.

Beat wishes to him and Johnny Mac

"Don't tell me it's impossible. Be honest and tell me you can't do it. Tell me you don't know how."

Great quotes

Yup love this quote about Johnny Mac’s father and his baseball affiliation:

Jack, a lifelong Yankee fan, proudly sports Blue Jays gear now in honor of his son. But that only goes so far. A few years ago, when news of a possible trade to the Red Sox blew into Jack’s airspace, he told Johnny Mac the following:

“John, you’re my son and I love you. But if you get traded to the Red Sox, there will be none of that Boston (stuff) in my house.”

Best wishes to the McDonald family

Cancer is one of those things whose affect on one’s life can’t be measured fully unless you wake up one morning to find a loved one inflected. It turns your whole world into flux. But reading the article, Mr. McDonald will have pretty of emotional support both withing his family and within the community. That in itself is HUGE for a cancer patient.
