Yeah a tie, that's spring for you. Lots of good pitching, Rick Porcello had a good start for the Tigers.
Pitching:
- Dana Eveland: 6 innings, 4 hits, 1 walk, 8 K. A great start. I really don't know how you keep him off the team, keeping him out of the rotation sounds tough enough. 1.23 ERA on the spring.
- Jesse Carlson: 1 inning, 2 hits, 1 unearned run. There was a Luis Figueroa error that cost Carlson the run. His first major league action since coming back from a sore knee.
- Jeremy Accardo: 1 inning, 2 hits, 1 earned. Not a great showing.
- Merkin Valdez: 1 perfect inning, 2 K.
Batting:
- Jose Bautista: 1 for 3, double. .450.
- Jeremy Reed: 1 for 1. .431.
- Aaron Hill: 1 for 3, double, 2 RBI. .433.
- Adam Lind: 0 for 3. .200.
- Vernon Wells: 0 for 3. .273. He hasn't done well lately, after a good start to the spring.
- Randy Ruiz: 0 for 4, K. .380 and played first base.
- Edwin Encarnacion: 0 for 3. .083.
- Travis Snider: 0 for 3, 1 K. .244.
- Jose Molina: 0 for 2. .167.
- Raul Chavez: 1 for 1, double. .235.
- John McDonald: 1 for 3. .321.
Some good pitching, not much for hitting. A week to go till the Jays start the season in Texas next Monday. 33 players left in camp, so there will be some cutting down soon.
