Pat Hentgen really poor now?

Hi new here but did I miss the story about Pat Hentgen losing all his money I can't seem to find anything on the internet about that.  If it is thats really sad as he always seemed to be a good guy and a great pitcher in his prime. And if it is true is there a way we can get the word out so others don't fall into the same scam? Thanks

Don’t think so. If so I can’t find anything about it.

See this article about the agent who tries to get clauses into the contract that pays a player after they retire. Says Hentgen got a 500k payday in 2006 and subsequent years until a certain dollar amount was was it.

JOKE....J.O.K.E.

I’ll admit not a particularly funny joke, but a joke. There was a picture of him pulling a tarp over the mound, I thought it was funny.

TRUE! It's T.R.U.E!!!!

Kidding. But I didn’t see the original joke so I had no idea and I posted that link the same time as you posted :) Missed it.

new bagel place just opened a few blocks from our house

a half-notch below new york, but still amazing. I broke my previous record with 3 and a half bagels this morning. getting up at 7 and running 10 miles will give you a bit of an appetite by 11.

We went to New York 3 or 4 years ago...

My youngest, who was 7, biggest want was a New York bagel. He was just thrilled when we went to bagel place with all the different types. Of course, he picked a plain one. If you ask him about New York now, he’d tell you about the bagel place.

had a conversation not long ago

about the importance of the “City water,” as so many claim for bread and pizza dough. I think it’s a crock . . . the bagels and pizza just outside NYC are almost as good as the ones in the city-proper.

that has to be apocryphal

as much as I hate to admit it, Long Island has bagels and pizza just as good, and they have a completely different water source (the underground aquifers) than the city.

Yep

That was the point I was trying to make. It’s just one of those things where, when enough people say something, people stop questioning the (lack of) logic behind it and just assume that it’s true.

How's Cecil Fielder doing?

Speaking of former Jays who actually did lose all their money, anyone know how Cecil Fielder is doing these days? Thought that whole story about his gambling, divorce and estrangement from son Prince was really sad. Always remember Cecil as a good guy from his time with the Jays.
