I would watch this team just to see Sal Fasano and his glorious moustache.

He’s got nothing on the guy in this video though. Comes around the 1:45 mark of the video.

I’m surprised Jenkins is starting down here and not in Dunedin. With his experience, and especially considering the fact that he was considered one of the more college arms in last years draft, I don’t think he’ll be in Lansing too long.

I'm comfortable with it

it is his first ever taste of pro ball, after all. the important thing to me is that he starts in full-season ball. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him move quickly, though

Where's Marisnick going?

Knights, Canucks, Dolphins, Jays and Raptors all the way.

he's not yet ready for full season ball

high school kid, no pro at bats. GCL when it starts up, I’d imagine

thanks

that makes sense, actually, he should be ready for it by mid-June when Auburn’s season starts up

how come the season starts later?

Lowest levels are short season leagues,,,,

Mostly younger players that need more instruction over game time. Many of the players are 16,17, 18.

so

its just letting the players adapt to a longer season
not pushing them into 162 games right off the bat?

by FenixL on Apr 7, 2010 7:10 PM EDT up reply actions

that's essentially the idea

yeah well even the other levels don't play 162 games...

I can’t remember Triple A plays about 144. But yeah the players at the lower levels are brought along gently.

I assume Balbino will move

the Jays have mentioned him moving to first before, and Sobelewski’s defense at third is supposed to be decent
