For a while, I thought you were either Carlos Ruiz or Brian Schneider….. :-)

It was just a matter of time before his date with perfection!

Congratulations Roy, you deserve it.

They do that for all no-hitters and perfect games that make it into the 7th. It is nice.

yea i saw the ubaldo one too

its great. its brilliant marketing on their part and great for fans to be able to witness memorable moments like that

by asal313 on May 29, 2010 9:32 PM EDT up reply actions

yes, it made me a very happy camper for the last 45 minutes

MLB generally (despite hating their blackout policies) has really thoughtful online stuff for fans

That's unbeleivable

That’s sweet to know. Although I have MLB.tv, if a Jays pitcher is ever doing it and I don’t have access to my TV, I know to get to MLB.com.

MLB does a lot of stupid things. But some things they get really really right.

i didn't know they had that...

i was disappointed that i couldn’t watch the last few outs…

Dont think so. With only 20 in history

Apparently no

Also Halladay has already been added to the Perfect game page at Wikipedia how crazy is that?

by IanJ on May 29, 2010 9:32 PM EDT up reply actions

God bless the internet.

Who IS this guy?!

“Tomorrow I’ll be perfect” as a member of the Phillies.

For some reason, the Dave Stieb thing popped up in my head. Too bad Halladay couldn’t do it as a Jay.

by bleh on May 29, 2010 9:37 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah…I’m really happy to see him get it, but it would have been awesome had it been w/ the Jays.

by Icedragon on May 29, 2010 9:43 PM EDT up reply actions

First perfect game I’ve ever watched live, and I’m proud that it was Doc’s. Congrats Doc!

Also, both Florida teams have been perfected against. Wow…

by Frag on May 29, 2010 9:39 PM EDT reply actions

Maybe we’ll get to see Marcum throw one against the Rays in the next series :D

by Icedragon on May 29, 2010 9:44 PM EDT up reply actions

wow my buddy just txted me

I’m sad I missed it, but couldn’t have happened to a better guy.

Congrats Doc, you deserve it

I realize I'm late to the party but...I'm on Twitter.

its was lots of fun, and couldn’t have happened to a better guy

Now to get Halladay a Cy Young...

Geez, this guy’s always had the stuff to pitch a perfect game and now he has one. I’m just glad it wasn’t against my Yankees.

Congrats to the Doc

Yankees all day.

Apparently after the perfect game Halladay is sticking to his post-game routine. In the weight room on the bike before he will speak with reporters.

You cannot defeat Roy Halladay. And at this point you can’t even hope to contain him. You have to simply get out of his way.

Wooooooooo!
Lost track of how many drinks I have had tonight in raising a glass to Halladay, Eyebleaf on the baseball roadtrip of a lifetime and the Jays.
Feeling pretty awesome. but the bottle of crown royal is looking a bit low……

Amazing

Congrats Roy

Class act and best in the game. Now only if Lincecum and Jiminez would stop being so damn ridiculous, maybe Roy could get another Cy Young

Excuse me, do these effectively hide my thunder?

by T.Dot_Bronco on May 30, 2010 1:18 AM EDT reply actions

Man... what would a rotation of Halladay, Marcum, Cecil, Romero look like....

Congrats to a great sportsman….
