Dunedin lost 4-0 to Clearwater.
- Henderson Alvarez started, took the loss, going 4 innings, 7 hits, 2 walks, 5 k. 6-4, 3.38. His last few starts haven't been great. He has a 5 ERA in his last 10 appearances.

Lansing lost 2-0 to Bowling Green.

Tried something new
If you want to see some amateur video of Hech tonight, here’s a link to my youtube.
I videoed parts of his first and third at bats as well as all of his fourth at bat. I also took pictures that are on my photobucket. The second at bat was the one he hit the triple and I got pics of that, no video though.

That’s one video. My youtube name is “Nhfishercatsfan” and these are the only 3 videos I have so far but I’ll add some of Drabek and other guys this weekend.
My photobucket is here with about 10-15 pics of Hech from tonight:

Let me know if any of those don’t work.

Oh and the videos are HD
you just have to click and change it to 720p. If you make it full screen they look pretty good I think.

He made a great play
in the top of the first inning to turn a double play. It was a ball up the middle that he lunged for and flipped to second to start the 6-4-3 but other than that if I recall correctly he didn’t get a single other ball hit to him. Kind of a rarity for a shortstop. Maybe I’m forgetting one but I don’t think so. Most ground balls went to the right side of the infield or the pitcher.

Zach Stewart better turn out to be a freaking ace.
According to my calculations, that Scott Rolen trade has cost us approximately 93 wins over the past year or so.
And I’m not talking a middle of the rotation innings eater, I mean a 28-4 record with a 1.22 ERA.
I'm on a horse.

According to Gameday he was leading off....

And he had no errors
Only two defensive chances and A-Hech didn’t boot either… initiated a double play and tagged out a stealer at 2nd on a good throw from the catcher Jaspe. He is young. Seen him play 14 or 15 times in Dunedin. He’s quick and runs well. Needs to work on the glove and throwing. And he hits too many grounders. Last night his plate discipline was good… he managed two walks after his triple.
Actually now that you mention it
in the bottom of the fourth inning Hechavarria missed a throw from Jaspe that allowed a runner to steal second. It wasn’t a perfect throw but it was definitely catchable. The ball went flying into the outfield but Mastroianni was right there so the runner didn’t advance to third and no error was given on the play.

D'Arnaud/Sierra
Why did both of them only have one at bat last night? I can’t handle any more injuries for our top guys, it’s getting stupid this year.
