I know Vegas didn't play and all, but I'm still rather dissapointed in Arencibia for not
hitting a home run today.

I've been going for Carreno all year
My only concern is that he gives up more than a hit/inning. Not necessarily a bad thing, but strange considering his K rate.
Is Dunedin’s defense this bad? 7 balls Carreno allows in play go for hits and 3 are converted into outs…
Jenkins and Alvarez seem to be suffering from it too lately…
Dunedin is a frustrating team, I wonder if they have good coaching. New Hampshire, on the other hand, has seen a lot of hitters improve.

well, slightly ahead of you

Is he just turning into another John MacDonald? When they promoted him, it was said his glove work was exceptional, but his hitting was not good. I know, small sample size, but he seems to be continuing the trend at AA.
I'm thinking that when the Leafs win the Cup, I'll lose my drinking problem.

Yup
But he also missed a basic routine ground ball that would have ended the game.

can't be that bad defensively, this is from Kevin Goldstein's blog today at BP, it's
a comment from a scout:
“the scout said, “he could excel in the big leagues right now, glove-wise.”
Did anyone else catch the futures game yesterday?
I had no idea Henderson Alverez threw so hard. He gave up 3 unearned runs after an error by the third baseman but the velocity and movement was very impressive.

ESPN gun had him between 94-96 and according to a few people that gun was 1-2 MPH light.

Anyone know why Wallace has pulled out of the AAA allstar game, BA has a list of
11 players who have pulled out of the all star game and say it’s due to either a call up or injury but don’t say whose injured or been called up.
Probably inury related
He had a minor wrist injury recently that caused him to miss a few games. Probably just wants that time to rest it up and get 100% healthy.
