Roster Moves
The Jays made a couple of roster moves, Marc Rzepczynski was sent down to Las Vegas and Mike McCoy was called back up. With Lewis being day to day with the sore ankle and Escobar with a sore hand, another bench player is a useful thing.
Apparently Escobar is back in the lineup today and Wise will be in for Lewis.
There are lots of trade rumors going around. Scouts from the Tigers, Twins, Phillies, Yankees and Rockies have been watching the Jays the last few days.
1:00 game time today so come join us in the thread.

Morrow
Are they skipping Morrow’s start to keep his innings down?
Ummm game thread at 1?
Sorry guys gonna be a brief game thread Im at work and didnt know it was another afternoon game so I didn’t put it together last night.
Who scheduled back to back afternoon games???
Life as a Toronto Sports Fan?... *sigh*... It is what it is...
I don't know...
I was wondering if it was a holiday on that side of the border…it really doesn’t make sense
I don’t get this move. Shouldn’t the team be adding pitchers instead of sending them down considering that they’ll be skipping pitchers now to keep the innings down?
Why don’t they just go with a 6 man rotation instead of slotting pitchers like Morrow in and out of the schedule? It maintains regularity in terms of preparation and rest.
agreed
i dont understand why one 8 day break followed by multiple regular 5 day stints is better than a bunch of starts on 5 days rest.
