Predictions???

Well we're down to the wire! Curious as to everyones predictions on who stays and who goes. Let's hear it!!!

Going: Buck, Downs, Gregg, Overbay (in august)

Not going: Jbau, Frasor, E5 and anyone else who's been floated around.
I heard rumblings through ESPN that the Jays could be buyers t the deadline. Sounds CRAZY to me. Isn't it nice to have a GM we can trust and have faith in?!?!

is not trade our players for prospects but make more deals like what we did with Escobar

Downs are Overbay will be the only ones traded is my prediction.

Downs to NYY (gag) and Overbay to Rangers or Angels.

Frasor to Minnesota, Overbay to Texas, Buck to Beantown and Downs to the Yanks.

Buck and Overbay will be the only two gone

Downs is comp A, Frasor is comp B (Fringing A), Gregg is comp B

It has been as hard as ever to get prospects in trades anymore, so I don’t see these guys being moved when we get compensation anyways. Someone will give up a draft pick to sign Downs, he will be the best lefty RP out there next year.

It wouldn’t suprise me at all if the Jays didnt do much at the deadline. They might just hold onto the players for picks if the offers aren’t that great.

I wonder how often/if ever

teams see if they can low-ball a potential type-A FA, giving up what they think is worth less than the picks, in order to (in effect) trade for draft picks? it seems like if you could unload some mediocre prospects/MLB players that fill a dire need for the other team it could pay off…
