Trade for Scott Kazmir? A Diamond in the Rough?
I wonder if Kazmir might be worth the risk to rehabilitate and come out as a long man from the pen. Anywhere from 1 out to 5 innings, depending on the need. I haven't seen him play in a long time, but it wasn't that long back when he was the ace of the Rays - what would he be worth - someone like Frasor? Could Kazmir rehab in the Jays farm system - say in NH as part of a get well stint - like Snider has done. Trading Frasor and sending Kazmir to the minors would give a roster spot. Is Frasor enough?
With the ways Mills pitched, he could take the vacated roster spot instead of going back down.

No way
He makes 8 million a year. Anyone who makes a trade for him right now has to be smoking some real nice grass. Gives up way too many walks, and doesn’t strike out guys like he used to. His best stuff might be gone already and he’s still only 26. Don’t think any kind of rehab in the minors will help as he gets DL’ed every year for something.
HEADING STRAIGHT FOR THEM, I PRESS DOWN MAH GUNS!
He's more of a Diamond that has been roughed up
Kind of like Eric Bedard
Really? Brian Tallet for Scott Kazmir….Seems like a no brainer to me regardless of salary!
The Vernon Wells Bandwagon, all are welcome!
Walton seems to be able to fix many things
Confidence

I don’t think he can fix injuries.
Kazmir has been DL’d twice this season alone
If you could get him for someone like Frasor i'd do it
However, as Tom said, you can’t trade for guys on the DL… and he hasn’t looked like his old self for a long time…
his old self was never that great anyways.
Onions Baby Onions
DL rule
Well, I guess the DL activity kills it alone. I didn’t realize that rule.
I figured that “reading between the lines” the arm fatigue thing might have been code for – you’re pitching like crap, take a seat.
