I would have moved Bautista to third and E5 to the bench to make room for Snider…..no reason fro him to get called up just to warm the pine…….

It’s hardly surprising that Snider would sit this game. Cito has his set lineup and only changes it when he is forced to. In Cito’s defense, I think there are a number of managers who might make the same choice on the first day of a non-emergency call up.

The key will be whether Snider plays on Saturday and Sunday. I think we see EE sit and Jedi play 3rd.

Who Cares

It is the first game up. The team just came off a sweep…granted against the worst team in the league. Let’s wait a week or two and see how much Snider plays. If he is still sitting, then let the Cito bashing begin.

That said, I don’t want Snider at lead-off when Lewis is sitting…but I guess Snider at 1 is better than Johnny Mac at lead off.

Snider would have traveled today from New Hampshire, and hasn’t worked out with this specific squad yet. It makes sense for it to be a homework day to catch up. I’m also willing to bet if a PH situation comes up tonight, he’ll be in the lineup.

So relax. If he’s sitting tomorrow, then it’s the time to flip out.
