With 23 Hours to the Deadline With the Jays Make Any More Moves?

MLB Trade Rumors has a post up saying that the Jays might keep Downs. I don't think that really surprises us, but I am kind of surprised that we haven't traded anyone off the active roster. The one trade we did make surprised us all.

So here is the question for you all: Will the Jays trade anyone off the active roster before 4:00 Eastern tomorrow? And Who will be gone?

Me? Wild guess, Frasor and Buck leave in trades but that's all.

I know there’s still a day or so left until the deadline, but I’ve been very surprised how things have been very quiet on the John Buck front. Out of all the Jays, I thought for certain he would be the first to go.

Well Buck's biggest possible suitors included Boston and Detroit

Boston has their regulars slowly coming back already and Detroit might have fallen out of the race in a span of days. I still expect him to be dealt though… possibly to teams that need a big bat like the Padres.

And the deals we never hear about seem to be the ones that AA are really working on, so who knows.

Ball.

Nobody thought we would get Jose Cruz Jr for Mike Timlin either...

And then we missed the chance to turn Jose Cruz Jr into David Wright.

I'd hope that

Buck and one of our relievers go. That’s about it. I think if Buck keeps on as he is he’d be a type B next year, which would have value.

Buck and Frasor sounds right

or Buck and Gregg. Actually, I think more teams would be interested in Gregg.

That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some minor leaguers on the move, in a larger deal involving a few Jays.

Buck and two of the relief guys (Frasor & Gregg most likely) would be my guess.

I think Buck will be traded

along with Sam Cosentino to the Giants for ex-Ford Frick award winner Jon Miller.

In AA we trust.

Except...you know

Trade for Escobar…and trade away Wallace. Those moves were kind of a big deal – not exactly nothing.

I think Dakers is right on the Money

Buck and Frasor will be gone hopefully. Frasor just isn’t doing it for us anymore…not consistently anyways. Buck I love, but out of all the players that we are supposed to “Buy low, sell high” on, he is at the top of my list. I don’t think his value will ever be higher and I want to see Arencibia up in the show since seeing Wallace in a Jays uniform is no longer part of our september plans.

buck better be traded

enough with JP staying in AAA, he’s been down there long enough.

Bring me a KILA!

(Hey, maybe the Royals want Jacobs back?)

by TamRa on Jul 30, 2010 7:10 PM EDT reply actions

I saw you suggested that...

well suggested getting Kila…I am all for the idea. Too bad we don’t have Jeff Francour to offer up.

Buck Stops Here

He is going nowhere and you can take that to the Bank.

AA said on the XM baseball show today that as of this afternoon they had nothing on the front burner.
