Did they announce where the deadline day signings will be assigned to?
Also think there is any chance of Emaus getting September callup?

Unlikely since he isn’t on the 40 man roster.
Life as a Toronto Sports Fan?... *sigh*... It is what it is...
Emaus has to be added to the 40-man roster
so it would make sense to call him up over an organizational soldier like Mke McCoy or Jarret Hoffpauir. They will probably be waived to make room by December so might as well do it Sept 1.
Probably all just going to the Spring Training Complex
It’s doubtful they’ll get any game action because all the seasons end in about 2 weeks.
I was thinking the same thing. Is Emaus really a viable option at third though? He seems to be having a pretty good year so far, one of the scouting reports said that he had great discipline and contact at the plate and decent tools. I noticed he’s not very big though. That’s about all I know. Can anyone fill me in?

theorically Emaus does not have the power bat you'd want at 3B
however, in the context of the current Jays team, he has the offensive skillset they require – OBP over Power. If he can defend as well as EE at 3B, then why not give him a look?
Nevermind, thought it said he was 5’11" 185lbs not 6’0" 200lbs.

Heredia
Looks like the pirates have signed the Mexican kid for 2.6.

I saw that
Apparently we offered 2.8 but the pirates scout has know him since he was a kid so it wasn’t expected he’d sign elsewhere. Speaking of the Pirates, Stetson Allie, Jameson Taillon, Luis Heredia, that’s so fine young pitching talent there.
Very impressive. Who knows maybe AA will find a couple more hidden prospects in the next little while.

Never underestimate the Pirate’s ability to screw things up though.
Even given that they spend next to no money on anything, that team should not be perennially as bad as they have been over the last 30 years.
Well yeah but
on the flip side, maybe with how terrible they’ve been they become the new Rays? I mean they have the potential to be great 6-7 years down the line. If (huge if) these three young guys reach their potential you’re looking at a rotation that starts off with as impressive a front three as possible. Throw in a few more top 3 draft picks and maybe they’ve got something.
Same can be said about the Nats though, with Harper and Strasburg. Man is Harper good.
