Brian TalLet's Give Up Runs Every Time I Pitch
What am I missing? How is this guy still a pitcher on this team, let alone in the majors?
Tallet's 21st appearance out of the 'pen today
- He allowed a run for the 13th time
- Failed to do it cleanly for the 20th time. His only clean appearance was two thirds of an inning on June 11.
- He didn't allow a walk.... for the just the sixth time.
- He has a 6.44 ERA (505th in MLB), 1.54 WHIP (395th) 4.62 BB/9 (447th), a 1.27 K/BB (465th)*
*Directly from MLB.com albeit this includes all unqualified pitchers as well. Regardless... it's bad.
Anyone else think we should move Rzep to the pen to replace Tallet who should be summarily executed? I mean released?
Then call up Richmond or some of the young kids to give it another crack on the days we need a fifth starter and to fill the void left by Morrow's vacancy.

Yeah, I think I could copy-paste my previous response to your other fanpost
and just change some names around.
I would love for Tallet to be traded for a PTBNL or something since he’s already cleared waivers. Someone has to be in need a lefty reliever. At worst a DFA, and I will not shed a tear if that happens.
Ball.
being rewarded for last season
I’d be shocked if they didn’t non tender him next season, given his salary. The pen will look very different next season. Looking forward to Spring to see how it will shape up.
White flag
He should be required to come out from the bullpen waving an enormous white flag.

Innings....
With lots of young arms on the Jays….Morrow being shut down, etc – I guess they need someone to just chew-up the innings for the rest of the season. Tallet has done everything that the jays have asked of him over the past few years, so I think that he deserves to finish the season on the roster…..but I would assume that after September, we will not be seeing him on the MLB club anymore (I hope at least).
I would say bring up Accardo…..but I guess it really doesn’t matter at this point – although I would sure love to see the jays finish ahead of the BoSox!
