Brad Mills
I was really rooting for him to come up for the Morrow spot starts next week but after a performance like that, I don’t think he’s ready. He is almost 25 and still can’t pitch great in AAA. With our pitching depth, I think the only time we see him in the Majors is if he’s in the bullpen.
Mike Jacobs
Hey Tom, did you hear anything on Mike Jacobs. I was really hoping he got called up so he can try out for the 1B spot in our lineup for next season after Overbay is gone. He has hit 30hr in the Majors before and he’s only 30 so if he can turn things around I think he can be very useful.

making Mike Jacobs our everyday first baseman
would be an unmitigated disaster. He was (get this) a below replacement level player in the season in which he hit 30 home runs for Florida because he is such a one-dimensional player.
He is atrocious defensively and is an out machine with huge holes in his swing.

Is this a joke?
The thought of Jacobs manning first for the parent club is alternately laughable and appalling.
chad jenkins
is not doing so well, but to be honest i wasn’t excited about him when he was drafted so high to be gin with
actually
Jenkins has had a fine season. His K rate has dipped a bit since his promotion to Dunedin, but he’s still getting plenty of grounders and striking out more than twice as many as he is walking. He should start next season in AA which is solid considering it’ll be just his second professional season and he’ll be 23.

What about Aaron Mathews
He is having a career year in Las Vegas. I think it would be more productive to give him playing time instead of Wise. I don’t know too much about him, maybe one of you can tell me a bit more about him?
i does see any real reason why mathews couldn't be a fourth outfielder
But he isn’t a prospect. Older and not good enough at any one thing to take him to to majors

Anthony Gose
Haven’t seen him in awhile. Saw this post on another site:
