Hey even better that it's Dunedin

If there’s two minor leagues for the Jays to win it’s AA and Hi A, AAA is not really full of prospects and anything lower than Hi A you can’t trust they’ll work out as they move up.

nice season for Stewart

his peripherals compare well to Drabek’s and although he’s older, he has less experience starting. He had some trouble with home runs earlier in the season, but seemed to solve that problem as the season went on (8 home runs in April and May, only 5 over the next three months of the season), which is what you’d expect from a groundball pitcher.

A successful transition to being a full-time starter this season out of the way, his job next season will be continuing to work on his changeup (he walked too many lefties this season) and continuing to build up his endurance and pitch deep into games.

Stewart next season?

Where do you see him pitching next season? I think he is definitely ready to start next season in Las Vegas. He will be 24 at the start of the season and he already has some AAA experience as a relief pitcher. I can see both him and Drabek move to AAA next season.

isn't the Jays contract with Vegas up?

if the AAA affiliate moves, starting Stewart and Drabek there is a no brainer. If it’s the PCL, I still don’t disagree with you. the PCL is an extreme hitters’ league and it can be frustrating for young pitchers, but the AL East is no picnic either, and it didn’t ruin Cecil to start his 2009 season at Vegas.

Yeah definitely, I think he went 0-4 the past 2 games too. Shouldn’t read too much into it but lets hope he performs in the playoffs!
