The last day of the season for our minor league teams. We'll take a look at how players on each team did over the next little while.

Las Vegas ends its season with a loss to Portland 6-5. They finish 66-78 good for last in the PCL Pacific South, 13 games back of Sacramento.

  • Brad Mills: 6.0, 9 hits, 3 earned, 7 k. 4.97. Really good start. I hope he gets to finish the year with the Jays.
  • Willie Collazo: 1.0, 2 hits, 1 unearned run, blown save. 4.70.
  • Jamie Vermilyea: 1.0, 2 hits, 2 earned, 1 walk, loss. 0-1, 5.40.
  • Brad Emaus: 1 for 4, run. ..298/.397/.498, 10 HR, 49 RBI in 86 Triple A games.
  • Mike Jacobs: 2 for 2, HR, 2 runs, 2 RBI, 2 walks. .297/.373/.461, 5 HR, 32 RBI in 33 games with the 51's.
  • Chris Lubanski: 2 for 4, HR. .293/.361/.538, 17 HR, 57 RBI in 100 games. I wonder if he'll still be in the system next year.
  • Aaron Mathews: 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI. .330/380/.523, 11 HR and 48 RBI in 88 games.

New Hampshire loses their last regular season game of the year to Portland 7-4. Their playoffs start Wednesday in Trenton. Looks like Andy Pettitte will be the starter for Trenton in the first game.

  • B.J. LaMura: 2.0, 2 hits, 1 earned, 1 walk, 3 k. 3.73. A bunch of guys got an inning or two to prepare for the playoffs.
  • Ryan Page: 2.0, 5 hits, 6 earned, 3 walks, 1 k, loss. 0-1, 27.00. His first game since coming up from Dunedin.

  • Matt Liuzza: 2 for 3, run, walk. .250/.353/.417, 4 HR, 11 RBI in 37 Fisher Cat games.

Lansing beat Lake County 11-0. Lansing finishes 34-36 in 4th of 8 teams in the Midwest League Eastern division.

  • Casey Lawrence: 7.0, 2 hits, 5 k, win. 1-1, 3.98 in 3 Lansing starts. he was 6-1 with a 1.74 ERA in 10 Auburn starts. Not bad for an undrafted player.

  • Randy Schwartz: 2 for 5, HR, 2 runs, 3 RBI, walk. .191/.235/.255 in 14 Lugnut games. Another friend of BBB, year was ruined by injuries, hope next year is healthier.
  • Jacob Marisnick: 4 for 6, double, 2 RBI, 2 stolen bases. .220/.298/.339, 1 HR, 12 RBI, 9 steals in 34 games with the Lugnuts. Nice that his season can end with a good game. He hit .287/.373/.459 in the GCL and jumped Auburn. He is just 19.
  • Michael Crouse: 0 for 2, 3 walks, RBI, steal. .216/.327/.386, 2 HR, 9 RBI in 28 games for Lansing. He hit .333/.402/.594 in 28 games in the GCL. He skipped Auburn too.
