Playoffs!!!1
Nice performance by Drabek. A sign of things to come, hopefully.
A Toronto sports blog, where unabashed homerism is alive and well...
Drabek
According to Keith Law Drabek was sitting 93-96 and hit 97 on numerous occasions. Thats some nice velo right there.

I cant begin to tell you
How many people I have tried to tell that to all season. Apparently scouting reports have him peaking at 94 and consistent at 91-92 but game after game I saw him at 95 consistent and earlier in the season he hit 98 more than a handful of times.

Is it possible it's due to the gun being ramped up?
I hope not but it does happen at stadiums to get people pumped. But one question I have is which way did the human gimmick pitch last night?
I have sat with scouts
And those are the radar guns a go by. The stadium one in NH is useless. Half the time it says 45mph.

So no it is not possible?
That’s excellent news, although to some it’s not even news.
1 Run over three levels?
Not the greatest night, on the other hand, what can you say about Drabek, can’t believe he got stuck with the loss.
Man, New Hampshire can't get a break
They lost 1-0 in 12 innings tonight. They faced Pettitte in the first 4IP and then ran into a hot Adam Warren for the next 6 IP in which he struck out 10 guys although Stewart was just as good for NH in the 7IP he pitched.
Thames, Bowman, Cooper, Loewen, Diaz, Liuzza and someone else all struck out twice. Hechevarria and Mastroianni k’d once.
Stewart struck out 10 Trenton guys, Farquhar struck out 3 and Magnuson struck out 4 in 2.1IP but unfurtunately gave up a solo HR in the bottom of the 12th.
