Angel's did receive $5M from Jays
#angels did receive $5 mil from #jays in wells deal. teams apparently just didn't want to disclose money was in deal. - Jon Heyman
---- I really don't know what to believe. I saw other tweets that already said that both GM's said flat out no money exchanged hands.... Either way it doesn't change my view of the deal.

I don't buy it.
Until otherwise proven, I’m going to believe what came out of the horses mouth.
hmmm
I don’t believe both GM’s would lie about it. If money had been exchanged in the deal AA would of said something like in the Napoli deal where he admitted money was involved but wasn’t disclosing the amount, as per his policy.
Yeah i don't understand it
if they didn’t want to disclose it how did this guy find out.
Didn’t AA say in the interview the other day that there was NO money?
in the end. doesn’t really matter

To quote Hugo
if Jon Heyman told me the Mets played in the NL East, I wouldn’t believe him
Trapped in the past, Craig finds himself leaping from blog to blog, putting things right that once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home.

Not that it particularly matters either way.
But all signs point to this being bogus, for reasons everyone else has mentioned..
$5 million? Hah! Jeter’s girlfriend tips her hairdresser more than that …

John Lott has re-tweeted Heyman… pretty sure Lott was one of the ones that confirmed no money exchanged.
I think you'll find I'm universally recognised as a mature and responsible adult.
Twitter is the thing with all the tweets...
