So my math professor assigned a research paper (ridiculous I know) to be done on any subject relating to math. As tempted as I was to banter all about pi, I decided to actually write about something that I find interesting. I figured sabermetrics would be a good topic seeing as I've been meaning to learn more about it and I could use the BBB community's help.

So far I'm just brainstorming, but I'm thinking that I'll write about its origins and how its impacted baseball. The main point of this post is since I'm sailing in somewhat murky waters here I'd love hear from members of the community what some of the finer details on sabermetrics.
