Escobar feeling at home with the Jays
John Lott with a great piece on Escobar over at National Post. Good article given everything that has been discussed surrounding Escobar this year on the site.

The Jays are encouraging and teaching Escobar.
The Braves just complained about his ‘flair’….they did not encourage.
He has been touched by hearing the optimism and compliments from this team!
Escobar’s dramatic flair drove the conservative Braves batty, which is why they were happy to trade him for Alex Gonzalez.
“It’s not easy to assimilate one baseball culture into another, especially with language barriers,” Farrell said.
The Jays have tried, Escobar has worked hard to make the cultural conversion, and on Saturday morning, he was leading the American League in hitting and OPS.
“He is close to the strongest player on the team, he always had pretty good plate discipline, and he loves to play,” Farrell said.
“He’s learning how to work, and he loves to work and wants to be great,” Butterfield said. “I think he will be great.”
Some really good insight
Just makes me like Escobar even more. Gonna buy his shirsey on Sunday so hopefully he sticks around for a while!

I think it be safer for everyone if he didn't....

If the sun explodes I think I got the world covered ;)

The capitalization of Sun...
made me think you meant the Toronto Sun….

he would definitely have more value than Bautista if he could hit even 30 dingers
he plays a more valuable position, and on top of that he’s one of the best in the league at his position.
30 dingers is a lot to ask
from someone who’s never hit 15. now, here come the “but Bautista did the same thing!!!”, and yes, but the reason is barely ever happens is the reason Bautista doing it was so incredible
read this in the paper at work yesterday actually
