Is Jackson still playing SS? Nice to see him hitting finally.
Also looks like Hech is starting to find his stroke…hopefully he learns how to take a walk though.
Snider
Snider is 7 for 11, but 6 singles and 1 double (and 3 walks!). It’s a very small statistical sample, but it does indeed appear that adjustments are needed to regain the power.
It’s a very small statistical sample
I’ll call your “Very” and raise it by a few “Very’s”

Again we don’t know the situations, were some of those singles line drives and someone slow was running in front of Snider? or were they hard hit right at someone? Maybe they were swinging bunts, who knows really. Its hard to look too far into it.

From the Game Recaps
He’s had 1 infield hit to short, 3 ground ball singles (one each to LF, CF, RF), 2 line drive singles (one to LF, one to RF) and his double was a line drive played by the Centre Fielder. Not much Moonrakerness yet.
Hutchison: The milb website lists him at 165Ibs… dear god imagine what he’ll be like when (if?) he fills out.
Wojciechowski: Tough start for him. he was rockin’ a 0.87 ERA before this game. I’m a believer in him though.
Marisnick: Nice to see him off to great start in Lansing. Gose should be looking over his shoulder for Centerfielder-of-the-future status.
Hechavarria: Really needs to get better at the plate. That OBP doesn’t give me any joyjoy feelings.
Lawrie: His numbers are coming down to earth I see. No worries a batting average over .400 would have been almost impossible to maintain.
Mastroianni: Guess it got too crowded at AAA what with Snider, Wise and Podsednik (and Thames) in Vegas.
That OBP doesn’t give me any joyjoy feelings.
How about JoyJoy Reyes? His unearned runs tally from his last start gave me all kind of feelings, none of them was JoyJoy…
Today’s your day, JoyJoy! I’d like a shutout, but I’l settle for just the absence of the usual CMI (Collosal Meltdown Inning).
Go Go JoyJoy Go Go!!!

Whoa, that Snider kid is batting .636
He’s going to be able to rake at the next level.
BRING HIM UP!

omg omg
Chris Woodward is hitting .355/.394/.581! Whatever swing adjustments he’s made in the minors it must have worked out!

and that Lawrie guy... only 1-6... Ugh! Who's he??? Another Vegas journeyman?

The Lansing outfield is something to get excited for!
Marsinick, Knetch and Crouse. How long before those guys move up to Dunedin?
Crouse
Good power (10 of 17 hits for extra bases, .507slugging) and a nice eye (8BB’s/12K’s). Decent speed too with a 12/13 SB ratio.
Don’t think he has the upside of the other two but if he can bring up the batting average, I think he would look pretty good. Of course, I’ve never seen any of them play…
What happened with Reidier Gonzalez?
One out from a perfect game and they pull him??? Did the reliever finish the deal?
Who the heck is Mike McDonald?
Interesting to see McDade continuing his approach to more consistent hitting and on base ability from the Fall League but it seems he doesn’t get much power anymore. I’ll take it though, he’s too big not to get power numbers eventually if he keeps making contact as he is.
Thanks.
Read too quickly, assumed the 0 ER were H for some reason. Nothing to see here.
Still a nice outing though.

ESPN baseball coverage is really something.
There’s a vote on the SweetSpot regarding who is the best shortstop in the AL… of the 5 listed Yunel Esocbar is not one. Buster Olney even tweeted that Alcides Escobar is regarded as the best defensive AL SS by scouts, and gives his one error in 28 games as further proof. Yunel has no errors in 25 games and has made countless excellent plays already this season.
Begs the question: Does anyone at ESPN actually watch the Jays?
Does anyone in the American media watch the Jays?
It’s an american site so I wouldn’t expect any less, typical stereotype.
To be fair, ESPN also ignores teams like the Marlins. When they were talking about the best SP in the majors, Josh Johnson was not mentioned at all.

That's strange.
Johnson’s injury history might have had something to do with that. They do talk about the young hitters like Stanton and Morrison.

I wonder why they didn't let Reidier Gonzalez finish that shutout
Jose Bautista has a higher midi-chlorian count than you do.
At least Lawrie lovers will shut up a bit now
Woodward has essentially the same line as him.
Onions Baby Onions
No Bautista for tonights game
I don’t know what’s worse, JoJo pitching or Bautista being out. Either way it sucks…
Anybody see the episode from american dad, it mentions blue jays fans.

lol, I was watching blue jays recap on the internet and the tv had american dad on. Out of nowhere I hear something about the blue jays!!! Watch the clip.
Latest episode of Sanctuary also mentioned the Jays. But its common for them to mention Canadian things as a inside joke since the show creators and actors are mostly Canadian and its filmed in Vancouver (like most things lately)

Best pitcher in dunedin sor far?
Staff includes Deck McGuire, Asher Wojciechowski and Chad Jenkins, but their best starter has been Nestor Molina. After his 7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 K start today, his ERA after 5 games is 1.65 with a 0.90 WHIP and 3 BB, 26 K. And only Deck is younger than Molina.
