Tyler Bede: [pf: "If I don't sign, it was because of money nothing else"]
Hi all,
Our boy Shi Davidi (great job Shi!) just tweeted (in the pics below
Our #1 pick in 2011 will not sign with the Blue Jays if the price isn't right. That's fine. I have no issue with that type of honesty. I mean Gregg Zaun was talking about that sense of entitlement that rookies have nowadays where they think they should be paid before having thrown a pitch (a la NFL rookie quarterbacks).s
That's ANOTHER topic for debate, the major issue is if he has retained Scott Boras as his agent. If he has, then I think we're SOL, if not, then heck, let's throw a few dollars here and there at him. Why the heck not. If he's a bust, he can be a case study as to why throwing money at guys doesn't work.

Why are we out of luck with Boras?
The Jays have shown a willingness to spend in the draft now. More then anyone else last year if I remember correctly… maybe outside of Nationals because of Harper.
I think its a pretty fair assumption that a lot of people understand the Jays are ready to pay.
I think you'll find I'm universally recognised as a mature and responsible adult.
Twitter is the thing with all the tweets...
AA’s position has always been that the front office has a dollar value for every player, and if the price exceeds it, they’ll walk away. So with that in mind, I can’t imagine the Jays took Beede without an idea of his price and their willingness to pay it, regardless of who the agent is.
A lot of this Boras stuff is overblown. Yes, he’s very good at getting top dollar for his clients because he’s willing to use all their leverage at moments of strength to extract the best deal. But just because a couple of front offices decided to blink first and overpay doesn’t mean he automatically has the whiphand on any negotiation. Frankly, if it’s Beeston and AA versus Boras, my money is on the Jays front office there.
Clearly it is a matter of money
We all knew that when he was drafted, it isn’t a surprise to anyone. There is no debate, many of the guys we drafted won’t sign if they don’t think the money is right.
TRUE? or not
@Mike Wilner, Keith Law says Tyler Beede is signing with the Jays for 3 mill. Is that true?
