Minor League Recap: Bluefield in Playoffs

Not wanting to step on Woodsman's toes but I was curious how Bluefield did in their first playoff game and then figured might as well look at all the Jay minor league teams.

Bluefield Jays 11 Elizabethton Twins 3 (Bluefield leads best of 3 games, 1-0)

Tyler Ybarra: Started, went 5.1 getting the win, 5 hits, 2 earned, 3 walks, 5 k.

Misaul Diaz: 2.2, 3 hits, 0 walks, 4 k.

Ian Kadish: 1.0, 2 k.

Art Charles: 3 for 5, HR, 2 RBI.

Chris Hawkings: 2 for 5, double 4 RBI.

Gustavo Pierre: 1 for 4.

Daniel Arcila: 1 for 5, double, 3 RBI.

More after the Jump.

New Hampshire 2 Trenton 7

I thought Dustin McGowan was to start but Yohan Pino did. Pino 6.0, 6 hits, 4 Earn, 1 walk, 4 k. Got the loss 3-8, 4.15.

They only had 3 hits. Anthony Gose was 0 for 2 with a walk and 2 steals. He has 68 stolen bases now, 15 times caught. Batting .251/.348/.409.

Moises Sierra: 1 for 3, HR. .267/.336/.426.

Vancouver 1 Boise 10

Not a good start for Zack Breault: 2.0. 5 hits, 8 earned, 4 walks, 1 k.

The Canadians only had 6 hits on the day. Jonathon Berti: 2 for 3 with a double. .302/.396/.381

Stephen McQuail: 0 for 4. .203/.281/.406.

Vegas 3 Sacramento 4

David Cooper: 0 for 4. .368/.437/.541.

Adam Loewen: 2 for 4, with his 45 double of the year. .306/.375/.503. He didn't have the best August: .271/.347/.355, 13/25 walks/strikeouts.

Dunedin 7 Lakeland 2

Vince Bongiovanni: 6.0, 4 hits, 2 earned, 1 walk, 4 k. 2-0, 5.95.

Lansing 4 Great Lakes1

Marcus Walden: 6.0, 6 hits, 1 earned, 1 walk, 3 k. 6-5, 3.32.

Dayton Marze: 3.0, 2 k. 7th save. 4.20.

Carlos Perez: 2 for 4, triple. .258/.322/.358. Disappointing season for Carlos but then catchers do have up and down years.

Jake Marisnick: 0 for 3. .321/.394/.500, 14 HR, 35 SB. Not all that far behind Gose on the prospect scale.

K.C. Hobson: 0 for 3, walk. .257/.345/.339. One I've been pulling for but the power hasn't shown up yet.

Marcus Knecht: 0 for 4. .278/.378/.481, 16 HR. Pretty good for his first season in full season ball.

Marcus Brisker: 2 for 4. .236/.352/.351.
