Minor League Recap: Games of September 1

Dustin McGowan started for New Hampshire last night. It would be his last start of the regular season for them, I don't know if the Jays will leave him there for the playoffs or not. I'd like to see him in Toronto, but maybe best not to push him.

New Hampshire 2 Trenton 0

Dustin McGowan: 3.2, 4 hits, 0 runs, 3 walks, 7 strikeouts. 2.75 ERA. I thought he'd go deeper into the game but then there were a lot of strikeouts (11 outs, 7 of them strikeouts) and walks. I wonder if we'll see him in 4 days to take Perez's place in the lineup.

Willie Collazo: 3.1, 3 hits, 2 k, Win. 2.95.

Clint Everts: 1..0, 1 walks, 3 k. 2.66

Bobby Korechy: 1.0, 2 k. 2.56.

Moises Sierra: 3 for 4, triple, and a steal of home. Travis d'Arnaud stole second and he went home. Went you only get 2 runs, that was a big play. .271/.339/.433.

Mark Sobolewski: 3 for 4. .264/.318/.363.

Anthony Gose: 1 for 4. .251/.347/.408.

Travis d`Arnaud: 1 for 4. .313/.372/.538.

Bluefield 2 Elizabethton: 5 (series tied at 1, in a best of 3)

Miles Jaye: 3.1, 7 hits, 4 earned, 4 walks, 2 k. Loss. He was 3-3, 3.00 on the season.

Joseph Musgrove: 3.2, 4 hits, 1 earned, 3 k.

Jeremy Gabryszwski: 2.0, 2 hits, 3 k.

Blluefield only had 5 hits. Aaron Munoz (catcher) was 2 for 3 and they pinch hit for him in the 9th.

Vegas 1 Sacramento 7

Chad Beck: 4.1, 5 hits, 6 earned, 7 walks, 4 k. Loss, 2-4, 6.70 ERA.

Ronald Uviedo: 1.2, 1 hit. 4.74.

Kyle Davis: 2.0, 1 hit, 1 earned,

David Cooper: 2 for 3, double, walk. .370/.439/.544.

Ricardo Nanita: 3 for 4. .359/.413/.547.

Adeiny Hechavarria: 1 for 4, double. .382/.427/.517.

Lansing 8 Great Lakes 1

Sean Nolin: 6.0, 3 hits, 1 earned, 1 walk, 10 k. 4-4, 3.49.

Brandon Berl: 3.0, 1 hit, 1 k. 2.32. Save.

Oliver Dominguez: 2 for 4. .222/.337/.334.

Markus Brisker: 1 for 3, triple. .237/.353/.357.

Carlos Perez: 1 for 4, double. .258/.321/.359.

Matt Nuzzo: 3 for 3. .276/.353/.395.

Peter Mooney: 1 for 3, triple. .276/.388/.490 in 3 different teams. He started with the GCL Jays, then Bluefield and now Lansing. 21 years old, just 5'6" and 155.

Vancouver 2 Boise 4

Jesse Hernandez: 5.0, 8 hits, 4 earned, 3 walks, 4 k. Loss. 4-4, 4.28.

Just 3 hits for the Canadians.

I'd bring McGowan up

It’d make sense to tell both him and Perez they are pitching that day. Say Dustin will pitch the first 4 innings(ish) and then Perez will come in for the final 5 baring a meltdown.

The recent 7 players that was signed in latin america

Are they going to play for any these minor league teams this year or next year?

Also how many innings can mcgowan pitch this year before he’s shut down?

what is 48÷2(9+3) ---> 2 or 288?

Two of them have already played for a Jays farm team this season.

Yep in the DSL. Osuno and maybe a couple others will play in the GCL next year like Cardonis did this year.

Speaking of Cardonis I would expect at 17 he’ll spend another year in SS ball probably spliting between Bluefield and Vancouver.

Not answering your question, but...

The last time the jays won the WS, they had a monopoly on all the players coming out of Latin America. Good to see them back to the roots.

Can we start the Gose watch yet?
