Hi everyone - hope you are all having a great Friday. I have enjoyed actually being in town for two straight weeks - unfortunately that's about to come to an end as I'm about to embark on another three weeks on the road. Seattle, San Francisco, L.A., Arizona, and Buffalo. Here goes.
The Jays kick off a weekend series in Toronto tonight against the Orioles and look to get out over .500. Brett Cecil pitches for the Jays, while Jeremy Guthrie goes for Toronto. Since rejoining the Jays rotation at the end of June, Cecil has a 4.06 ERA, and 59 Ks and 26 walks over 88 innings. Nothing wrong with that. His past three starts haven't been particularly good, though, so he's looking to get back on track and finish the season strong.

I think they'd have trouble with the Braves as well.
IMO the two best teams that will make the playoffs in the NL are the Phillies and Braves. I’m discounting the Dbacks and think the Braves would beat the Brewers if they were to match up against each other.

I’d have to go with Marcum only because I’m from Wisconsin and would like to see the brewers do well. Something they have very rarely done in my lifetime.

They did.
I don’t follow football though, probably the only one in the state who doesn’t. Apparently they played yesterday and I didn’t even know it. I had a feeling walking around campus seeing just about everyone in Packer shirts. Turns out they did and I guess they won too.

So about JP...
What are your guys thoughts on his year so far? Me, I’m disappointed overall. Yeah the homers are great and all, but even if he’s never gonna be a high average guy .220 just isn’t gonna cut it. Also he hasn’t really stepped up defensively which was always his big weakness.
I guess yeah he’s still a rookie and is bound to improve some, but I had a bigger breakout year in mind for him.

I got to my first party, drank buckets of weird whiskey, threw up everywhere, passed out, had to get picked up by my sister while everyone else was clean sober. I never even think about drinking at parties now.

never been drink because I only drink as much as I am willing to admit to my parents. Being European, they dont mind me drinking a few beers, as long as I dont mix alcohols and have a way home/place to crash
